I Literally Saw The Easter Bunny

If you have read all my posts, you will see that I have learned some news words since my mommy adopted me.  Well, the word for today is "IRONIC".  Today is Easter, so they tell me.  Early this morning, before they went to church, my daddy took me for a walk around the block.  That is our normal morning activity.  Anyway, we were almost home and when we got to the lady's house which is in back of our house, low and behold, there was this little brown animal with long adorable ears and short little legs, on the lady's lawn.  I literally could not believe my eyes.  I started barking and pulling on my leash, but my dad wouldn't let me go and meet him/her.  I actually scared it away with my barking, and that made me feel bad.  It hopped across the street.  It was odd that it couldn't run like I do, but it had such short little legs, I guess hopping was it's only option.

My dad explained the meaning or "ironic" to me and said it was pretty "ironic" that I saw this bunny on Easter and it must have been the Easter Bunny.  We never have rabbits in our area, so where he/she came from is a mystery.  Maybe somebody owned it and it got away.  I don't know how many people or animals can say they actually saw the Easter Bunny on Easter, but I sure did and yes, it was "ironic".

I am the Best Watch Dog Ever

When they say stop and smell the roses, I didn't even know what that meant.  All I know is that my dad came in with some "things" in his hand and then he put these things in what they call a vase.  I honestly had no clue what that was, so I went ballistic and barked like crazy.  Normally there is nothing in the spot where he put that vase, so I thought it was an intruder.  My mommy picked me up to let me "Smell the roses" and now I realize they will not hurt anyone.  It was pretty funny, but hey, I was just doing my job.

Exploration Isn't Always The Best Thing To Do.

My mom was pretty upset when she couldn't find me.  You know the old saying, "If Mom isn't happy, then nobody is happy".  I don't know if that's exactly how it goes, but I really wasn't hiding from her.  I was outside for quite a long time and I guess she suddenly realized that she had not seen me for a while.  I saw her open the back door and look out the door to her LEFT (duh, I was to her right) and she didn't see me, so she shut the door and apparently went and looked around the rest of the house.  When she couldn't find me, she looked out back again, and good for you Mommy, you looked to your right and there I was wiggling and wagging my tail.  I was on the other side of the fence where the pool is.  She was somewhat upset, but opened the gate, let me in the house and then picked me up and gave me a hug.  I guess she was scared I had run away.  I'm not telling how I got on the other side of the fence, so she is going to have to just keep an eye on me.

Before and After

 Before
After

Okay, here I am and I survived my first haircut...aren't I beautiful?  I know it's a little hard to see how long my hair was before Mommy took me to Hot Dogs and Cool Cats, but it was.  She was so worried about me and the groomers because she thought I would give them a hard time, but they told my mommy I was good.  HA I fooled her.  On top of everything else, it only took one hour and I was done.  Oh it feels so good to have all that fur cut off.  As soon as I got home I rolled and rolled on the rug in the family room.  I am now all ready for Easter and the warm weather which is on its way.  Thank you mommy and thank my groomer.  I would just like to give a shout-out about Hot Dogs and Cool Cats.  It is on Bell Rd., just East of 35th Ave., on the left-hand side of the road if you are going East. If you cats or dogs need grooming, go there because they are so nice.

Success

This is going to be short, but I just wanted to let all my followers know that the baby play pen worked.  I slept in it all night long, with my bed in it, and had no problems.  My mommy said it beats spending money on a crate and making me feel trapped.  At least the play pen is open on the top.

Watch for my next post on Friday.

I really messed up now....

I know I have not written in a while, but my mommy was sick and once she got well, she had stuff to do.

I have been getting in trouble because once again, I have been going potty on the floor.  First off, I think I do it at night because I guess I'm afraid to go outside alone in the dark and my parents are sleeping.  Next, I think I do it just to be ornery because there have been more occasions that I have tinkled right on the floor, during the day, by my daddy's computer room.  Sometimes I get a little ticked off if they are not paying attention to me.  My mommy has a baby play pen and instead of getting me a crate, she's going to try and use the play pen, only at night, and see if that will take care of the problem.  My mommy doesn't really believe in crates....bless her little heart.   I think it will be okay because I will be right beside her bed and she told me that she will put water in the play pen too, along with my bed.  Let's just hope I don't spill the water.   I'm pretty good at learning new things.

I hope this will work out for me, my mommy and daddy because they are tired of cleaning up my messes.

BTW, stay tuned for next week because next Friday I'm going to the doggy beauty salon and I am going to get my hair done.  My mommy already told the lady (Terry) that I am quite the handful, but Terry said it's okay.  I'll try and be good, but I'm not going to make any promises :- )
