I Love my Mommy and Listen to Every Word She Says

I love my mommy and it's as simple as that.  She has been sick the last couple of days with the flu and I have not left her side for one minute.  She went to bed early, I went to be early too.  She still gave me my backrub even though she felt horrible and for that, I gave her a thousand kisses.  She is so kind and does so much for me, that's the least I can do for her.

As far as me listening to her, I literally shocked her last night.  She had put her pajamas on and then went out to the family room.  She thought I was behind her, because she could hear the clicking of my toe nails on the wood floor, but I didn't go into the family room.  After a few minutes she called me and I ran into the family room.  Then she realized I had been eating.  She actually apologized to me and told me to go back and finish eating.  So, I did as she said.  I turned around and went back to the kitchen and ate some more of my food.  I normally understand what she is talking about, but this time it shocked her that I did what she told me to do, this time.

I know that my mommy adores me and I'm like her guardian angel to her.  I'm so glad she picked me out for adoption six years ago.

This is the Last Straw

Can you see her, can you see her?  My precious Violet was taken away from me this morning.  I had been playing with her and my mommy, and then I got tired and decided to lay down and take a nap.  I swear, the minute your back is turned, something happens.  I had been sleeping and then woke up and noticed my Violet was missing.  I noticed that contraption you put dirty clothes in was gone too, so I jumped off the bed and went out of the bedroom and saw that thing by my mommy, who was on the computer.  I saw that she wasn't looking, or so I thought, and took Violet out and took her back into the bedroom and up on the bed.  Before I knew it, here comes Mommy into the bedroom and picks Violet up and tells me that she has to get a bath.  I was trying to get Violet out of her hand, but she wouldn't let go.  She said, "No, Missy, Violet needs a bath.  She is so dirty and it will be okay."  Well, I know all about baths and I know my violet might drown.  None of that mattered.  Out to the laundry room she went and I followed.  I almost panicked, but kept myself intact and just stared at my Violet, telling her, telepathically, that she will be okay and I will be here when she is done.  Now I know how my Mommy feels when she takes me to the groomers.  I know it's for the best, but I am still not a happy little doggy.  I have to wait for Violet to get dried and then I will be happy again.

Don't be Afraid

I had to go and get groomed today.  Don't get me wrong, the people are really nice there, but I just hate being away from my mommy for too long.  You know I'm always by her side to protect her.  Anyway, when I was all done and my mommy came to pick me up, Beth, my groomer, told my mom that I was a good girl and my mom was telling her how I talk at home.  Beth said, "Oh, she was talking here today to another dog that was right next to her"  My mom was shocked because I usually "growl" at other dogs.  I think I wanted to be a good doggy and friend and help this other dog named Buster, become calmer.  Beth had told my mom that this dog had a bad experience at the last place where it was groomed, which of course I knew...he told me, and she said Buster and I were talking back and forth.  Well, of course, Buster was telling me that the last place he went to, they were mean to him. They were rough and yelled at him.   I told him he didn't need to worry about "Hot Dogs and Cool Cats" and that I had been coming to them for 6 years and they are always nice and kind.  That made him happier and then we just talked about dog stuff.

When I saw my mommy come in, I was so excited.  When we got into the car she told me I get the "Good Friend Award" and that she was very proud of me.  I helped another doggy to feel better about his situation.  I felt bad when I left because he was whining, but I needed to go and get home.  My mommy was glad to see that I could actually get along with another dog.

Finger Licking Good

Everyone knows that I love my Mommy more than life itself.  I want to be by her side every minute of the day, if I can, but there are things that make that not happen.  My Mommy loves me too, but I'm not sure if it's as much as I love her.  She has this contraption called an iPad and will have that by her side half of the day.  She says she is sharing time between iPad and me, but I just don't buy it.  I, Missy Keller, like to lay on the arm of the couch, which is where she sets iPad.  I admit it, I am a jealous animal.  Ever since my Mommy was taken away from me 6 months ago, off and on,  because of sickness, I do not trust any of them.  They will lean over to give my Mommy a kiss and I can't help myself, I growl at them all.  She will put her arm around me and tell me it's okay, but I just can't help it.

Yesterday was as usual.  She had just eaten lunch and was sitting on the couch with iPad on the arm of the couch.  I was over by the reclining chair and she kept telling me that it was okay and I could come up on the couch to sit by her.  No, I wanted nothing to do with sitting next to iPad, so I ignored her.  Since my Mommy is pretty smart with me, she finally told me that I could come over and lick her fingers.  OKAY!  That's all I needed.  I totally understood what she said and was off that chair in a matter of seconds.  I went over to her, licked her fingers, jumped up on the couch and laid my head on her lap.  I was then a totally happy little doggy.  In case you didn't know, I understand everything my Mommy says to me.

Missy the Mighty Dog

Here I am, Missy the Mighty Dog.  Did you sing that, like from the song from "Mighty Mouse"?

I fly and it has just become a proven fact.  My mommy has been spending the whole morning doing the laundry, dusting the house and cleaning the floors.  She keeps the dry mop or whatever you want to call it, on a special rack in the closet of the entry way of the living room.  The living room....this is such a special place to me because they never let me go in there alone.  I guess previous dog kids have had accidents in there and they don't want that to happen again.  So, when my mommy was finished cleaning and putting the cleaning tool back, she said she wanted to rest for a minute and we would sit in the living room together.  Well, that's all I needed to hear.  I got SO excited, that I ran and literally flew OVER the coffee table and onto the couch, just waiting for her to sit with me.  I was sort of shocked at myself and had to look around for a minute, but mommy wasn't too happy in the beginning.  She did a tiny bit of scolding by telling me that is a "no, no", but then she wanted to make sure I was okay, because I just sort of sat there and hung my head.  After she saw I was okay, she gave me a hug and all was fine.  We sat together for a bit and then she needed to get back to work.

Don't mess with me or else.....

If you look very closely, you can see me looking out the window, searching for predators, especially a little Chihuahua that lives next door.  Her name is Stella and she is the biggest bitch (girl dog) on the block. Actually she's about my size, but thinks she's hot stuff.  I know it's not nice to say things about other doggies, but this one takes the cake.  She never shuts up, my parents call her "The Yapper".  I like to play a game of standing over by our fence and Stella just barks and barks and barks.  I don't say a word back to her, I just stand there with my tail wagging.  She obviously thinks she is hot stuff and has actually bitten a couple of people, but her owners are pretty lucky, because those who have been bitten, have not turned Stella's owner into the authorities, so I'm just saying, this dog has a "history".

This morning my dad was taking me for my walk and all of a sudden he sees this "broad dog" and she was barking her head off at me.  She pulled away from her owner and her collar came off, which means she came right for me.  She was "In- My-Face" barking and growling and showing her teeth, so I thought if she wanted to play that game, I can do that too.  I began to bark, snarl and I lunged at her until my daddy picked me up...darn it...and brought me into the house.  I guess her owner finally caught her, but it was quite the duel.  All I know is that there was no way I was going to back down.  My mommy said she was proud of me because I stood up for myself.

A Short Christmas Greeting

Mommy, Mommy, please, you have to let me talk to you.  I want you to tell everyone I am wishing them a  very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.   I know that everyone is rushing to get their shopping, wrapping and baking all done, but remember the real meaning of Christmas.  Let's not forget that DOG spelled backward is GOD and his son is what Christmas is all about.  God and his Son watches over all of us and it is very important that we all give thanks and praise to our Prince of Peace.

Yes, Mommy, I also know Santa Clause.  If you could have put the video on my blog, I was telling you all about Santa, but unfortunately,  it didn't work.  He's a good guy and sneaks in every house with his spirit of good will for everyone.  I have literally seen Santa Clause, so if anyone tries to tell me there is no Santa, they do not know what they are talking about.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and it is filled with happiness.  I want to also wish everyone a Happy New Year too.  With all my love, Missy O'Shoot.

I'm A Morning Person...Ah Dog

I am a dog with an agenda.  Some people or animals like the morning, while others don't really wake up until later in the day.  I myself, am a morning animal.  I would say person because I am like a two-year old child, but I'll unfortunately stick to animal.

To give you an idea of my morning schedule, it starts about 6:30.  I lay in my bed, which is next to my mommy's bed, and I just stare at her and wait for her to open her eyes.  I have a sneaking feeling that there are times she is awake, but just won't open her eyes so I won't jump on her.  Yes, I have to confess that the second her eyes are open, I put my two front feet on the bed and she rubs my back, smiles and says "Good Morning Missy", which I love, and then I run and get Violet, my best friend, so we can share our exuberance with mommy.  I jump up on the bed, with Violet and make her squeak at least 50 times per minute, if not more.  Sometimes if my Mommy doesn't get out of bed right away, I help her a little bit by putting my nose on her back and push her a little bit or give a little "arf" so she will get up.

Once my mommy makes her bed and takes the pillows out of the chair and put back on her bed, I do my duty and look out the window to make sure everything is fine out-in-the-world. After I have scoured the streets in front of our house and barked my head off at something out there, my mommy is usually doing her hair. I grab Violet and take her to my mommy and she will throw her for me to run after. That is so much fun.  Remember, I've had a full nights sleep, so I am full of energy.  When I get tired of chasing Violet, I just lay her down wherever I want to and Mommy will usually throw her back into my bed.  I do, however, put her back in my bed by myself sometimes, but that's usually at night.

After my mommy has eaten breakfast, she usually goes into the computer room and gets on the computer.  While she is doing that, my daddy takes me for my morning walk.  That is always fun and I get to hear and see my friends in the neighborhood.  I don't really like cats, so when I see one of those, I go ballistic.  When we get home I get one of those wonderful "treats" and then I am off to the computer room to let my mommy know that I'm home.  Then she picks me up, so I can have a good look at her and tell her of my adventures and then check out the computer for myself.

Once I have gotten all the love from my mommy, checked out the world for whatever is happening outside, gone on my walk and check out the computer, my next favorite thing to do in the morning is to go outside in the backyard and lay by the orange tree.  There is a spot of sun that I just have to lay in.  My mommy is figuring that I just know instinctively that I am getting Vitamin D from the sunshine and whatever else I think I need.  After I have laid there for a bit, I come back into the house and jump up on the chair to take my morning snooze...I've been busy.  The rest of the day is fine, but the majority of my energy is used up in the morning.  Have a good day everyone.

Vacuum Cleaner vs Missy the Protector

See, see that big thing just sitting there waiting to eat me up.  From the picture, you can notice I have my eyes on the vacuum cleaner while I am protecting Mr. Bill (my newest toy that I love) from it's "sucking action".  Originally, I was down on the floor with my dear Mr. Bill and my mommy told me to pick him up and get him out of the way.  Instead of moving him, I was going to be the protector and I laid on top of him.  Of course my mom didn't have her camera out in the family room, so she told me to stay where I was, while she got her camera, but of course I didn't.  When we got back into the family room, I jumped up on the chair and mommy put Mr. Bill beside me.  I know, I didn't really do it myself and it would have been a great story if I was laying on top of him, so this story is mostly just telling about the picture, but trust me, if that vacuum cleaner had come too close to Mr. Bill, I would have gone into action and saved him.

All in a Days Work

BEFORE

AFTER

I know that my mommy is under a lot of stress because of Grandma, but I HATE for her to be gone so much of the time.  As you can see, before she leaves to go and see my Grandma, the couch looks great with the blanket on it, so I won't scratch the surface.  Then my mommy leaves and is gone for several hours and the result is the after picture.  Of course, this is not seen until my mommy gets home and then she is not really happy with me, but I miss her, I can't help it.  See, I pull the blanket down to where she sits.  That way, I can be in her spot, and be comfortable, plus it takes a little while to do this, so it keeps me busy.

On a good note though, she was very proud of me this morning. When she was getting ready for the day, she couldn't find my BFF, Violet.  She put her mouth into a BIG circle and said "OOOOH Missy, where in the world is Violet?" in a very inquisitive manner.  I looked at her and then quickly looked at my bed and around the room and could not see her.  I then looked at my mommy and she told me to go to the family room and see if Violet was out there.  My mommy told me that she couldn't believe that I was smart enough to leave the bedroom, go out in the family room, and bring Violet back into the bedroom.  Now, I'd like you to note that I actually did three things at once.  I could say something else, but I won't :-)  Anyway, when I brought Violet back into the bedroom my mommy clapped for me.  It made me feel so special that she was so proud of me.  She praised me up and down and told me I was so smart.

In closing, I think that maybe she should just take the blanket off the couch so I can't mess it up, but I have a feeling she's going to leave it on, so I will have something to do when she's gone.  Good thinking mom.

A Walk With the Disciplinarian

I know I look so sweet here, but I must admit, I do have my moments.  My dad is out-of-town for a few days and as I sat on the chair in the family room, I wondered who was going to take me for my walk?  I know that's being a little selfish, since my mom has a hard time walking, but the thought still entered my doggie mind.

Well, low and behold, when my mom was all ready for the day, she came out and told me that she was going to take me for a walk.  I jumped off the chair and was so excited.  It was hard to hold still while she put my harness on, but she put me up on the dryer so I would sit still and once the harness was on, away we went.

When they talk about being on a "short leash" that is exactly what was happening.  This was her first mistake, but being the disciplinarian that she is, she was bound and determined that I was going to learn how to walk on a leash.  You see, when my dad takes me, he just lets me pull him, there's no talking, no telling me what to do, no nothing! I have been doing it "MY WAY" for almost three years.  We started down the driveway and made a left.  I live at one end of the block and she started going down to the other end.

One thing I must tell you all, I save up my "pee and sometimes poop"  (I know that's rather gross, but it's the truth) until I go for my walk.  Here again, another mistake on my mommy's part.  My dad let's me go wherever I want to.  If it's on somebody's yard, he doesn't care.  Sort of like how a man can pee anywhere he wants :-)  Anyway, nope, she wouldn't let me put one toe nail from my paw on someone's property.  Here's her mistake, since I had it all saved up, I couldn't hold it any longer and just went right there on the sidewalk, right next to her.  What could she do, I had to finish my job, so I did.  She just shook her head and told me that wasn't very nice.  Well, a dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do.

After I finished with what I was doing, we proceeded to go down the block.  I sort of wondered how far this excursion was going to be, because of my mom's legs, but I just kept walking.  We got to the end of the block and she tells me that we are going to turn around and go back home.  My face must have looked like something in the cartoons..beyond shock..and I sat down and refused to move.  I'm trying to tell her that this IS NOT CORRECT.  I'm supposed to go all the way around the block.  Obviously, who do you think won this battle?  Uh huh, Mom.  She pulled on the leash and told me we are going home and maybe we can go a little farther tomorrow.

I guess I should appreciate the fact that she took me at all and I sure do hope we can go a little further tomorrow...thanks Mom.

I Am Legal Now

Today is a big day in the life of humans and animals.  It's my BIRTHDAY and I am 3 years old, but better yet, in doggy years, I'm 21.  I know animals don't go out drinking to celebrate, but maybe my mommy, daddy or sisters might have something alcoholic today and they will let me have a "lick" of their fingers, just for a little "buzz".  Whatever, I've heard a thing called a "hangover" isn't very pleasant, so I will keep it to a minimum.

As you can see, I'm all dressed up in my "Birthday dress" and looking out the window to see if any of my friends are coming to see me.  I don't know if they know it's my birthday or not, but every time I see another human or dog or cat, I bark like crazy to let them know that they can come and see me.  Sadly, no one has come yet.  Oh well, I have my family to be with today and they are already treating me special with, of course, an extra yummy here and there.

I'll report at a later date on my birthday activities for the day, but until then, I love you all.

Bits of Love

Well, here we go again with dressing up for certain occasions.  I don't think my Mommy has enough to do.  She got a post on Facebook telling her that there was a contest for Kibbles n Bits.  it said if you send them a picture or a video and people voted for the picture, in other words ME, I could win $5,000.00 and a years worth of Kibbles n Bits.  Holy smokes, I can't say I blame my mommy for entering ME in this contest.  You notice I capitalize myself, because I want to stand out.

I have to give my mommy a hug for doing this because she went out and bought me this adorable dress, made a crown for me (even though you can't see it too well) and bought the bag of Kibbles n Bits.  I really don't eat that food, but they did mix it with my other food and guess what?  I LIKE IT.

Anyway, back to the picture.  Before she could take this picture, she gave me a dreaded bath.  The woman tricks me.  She'll make me think that I get to go into the bathroom with her, and then she closes the door.  I begin to talk to her, but she told me I had to be beautiful before I could have my picture taken.  I'm pretty darn good about sitting still when she tells me to.  It took a few tries, but if I say so myself, it's not too bad.  I wish you could see the crown more though, it's very pretty.  Oh well.

I would like to ask all of you who are reading this to do me a favor.  If you go to the web site for Kibbles n Bits in 2 days, (it takes 48 hours to put the picture up) and vote for me, I would love you forever.  She might enter more of the pictures too, so keep looking and voting.

Thank you all so much and I send you much love.

Merry Christmas 2012

FROM THE "BLOG" OF
MISSY "O'SHOOT" KELLER

December, 2012

I, Missy "O'Shoot" Keller, realize that the majority of you have never read any of my "blogs", but I will give you the web address at the end of this letter.  My mommy has a lot to do and asked me if I would write the Christmas letter and make this into my Christmas Blog too.

We hope this finds you all doing very well and that you have had a nice year.  My year has been full of excitement, mostly playing with my toys, going for walks with my Daddy and being a good girl, so I can get those treasured yummies.

My sisters are fine.  I just love it to death when they come to our house and visit us.  You cannot imagine how much I jump and insist that they pick me up.  I really do insist, I make all kinds of noises until they pick me up.  I don't even care as much about the yummies as I do them picking me up and holding me.  I love both of them soooo much.

Kari is doing fine and still likes going over to California, when she can.  She, Tracy and my Mom went to San Diego on Memorial Day weekend.  Of course, they didn't take me with them, but I forgave them.  I stayed home with my Dad.  Kari is at a charter school and from what I hear from a past principal of hers, she really does a good job with classroom management.  He tells people she doesn't like "noise".  I'm glad she can handle those kids, but she spoils me...yippee.

Tracy is working very hard at her job and getting her Master's Degree in English from Northern Arizona University...online.  She is so happy that she has only one semester left.  It's pretty hard working a full-time job and doing all those papers.  It seems like when she comes to our house, she always has he nose in a book, BUT she does take time out to play with me.  Both girls will get down on the floor with me and really get me going.  They get me going so hard that I have to hurry up and get outside, almost with my legs crossed, and tear around the yard at bullet speed, before I actually go potty.  Sorry if that's gross, but it's the truth.

Daddy does the same thing as usual.  He goes for hikes with his friends and down to his brother's house in Maricopa, AZ.  He was going to go back to Iowa for his reunion this summer, but the stupid plane kept having problems, so I think about 5 or 6 hours after he was supposed to take off, they cancelled the flight.  He did not feel like taking it the next day, so he didn't go.

My mom is the same too.  She gives me lots of love and I am happy to be by her side.  She talked to me all the time and I love her lap.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Violet Had to Have a Bath

I know I talk a lot about my best friend and bed buddy Violet, but my mommy did the worst thing ever this morning.  I had Violet out in the family room and after my mom put the last load of laundry into that big contraption, she noticed Violet was laying on the floor. I watched as she snatched Violet up from the floor and watched her as she put Violet in the washing machine.  As I sadly stood in the doorway of the laundry room, I turned around to leave and my mommy told me Violet was going to get a bath.  I was shocked and I literally turned around and looked at her straight in the eyes and thought a BATH...oh no!  I know what a bath is and for the most part, I try to totally avoid them.  When my mommy tells me I need a bath, I turn around and head for any direction I can and hope she can't find me.  Of course, she always does though.

The point to this blog actually is not only that Violet had a bath, but when my mommy brought the folded clothes into the bedroom where I sleep, I had brought another toy in there.  Mr. Bumble Bee.  See, I do know the names of all my toys.  She could not believe that I had brought him into the bedroom. Well, I thought I had lost the love of my life, Violet, so I was replacing her.  I know you are probably wondering how could I love Violet so much and replace her so quickly, but I needed something in my bedroom. My mommy was surprised I didn't have my dinosaur in there, but whatever,  Mr. Bumble Bee was good for the time being.

My Violet is back, but at first I really didn't want anything to do with her because she didn't smell or taste the same. I know that is what a bath does to toys, doggies and people, but once my mommy made her squeak and then threw her and I went after her, I knew my old buddy was back.  Sorry Mr. Bumble Bee, I'll play with you out in the family room.

Never DOUBT Your Pet

I have been through this before, I have doubted my dogs and I admit I am extremely foolish for doing this.  Instead of Missy telling her story, I, her Mommy, am going to tell my story about Missy and a previous dog by the name of Cassey.

We had an incident in this house when we had Cassey that involved a cat.  Cassey hated cats and if any were in our yard, she would chase them out.  One day, she tore into our living room and faced our couch and was barking and barking at something.  I went into the living room and finally called my husband in there and he looked behind the couch and I'll be darned if there wasn't a "CAT" behind the couch.  We could only assume that it came in through the doggy door.  He took the cat outside and it went on it's way...so we thought.  The next day, all of a sudden, the same thing happened.  Cassey ran into the living room staring at the couch again, but this time, I didn't believe her.  I stood there telling her that there was NOT a cat under that couch, but she insistently continued barking.  This time, Kari pulled the couch out and we could not believe that the cat was back.  She pulled it out, picked it up and took it back outside.  I thought I had learned my lesson of not believing my dogs.

Well, I once again was tested in my belief of my dog.  Missy's best friend "Violet", her disgusting violet colored worm toy that she sleeps with and squeaks all the time, was missing.  I couldn't see her toy in her bed, so I asked her where it was? She looked at me with great concern and was looking in her bed and then up on the big bed.  I told her that maybe she had it out in the family room.  I went out to the family room with her to look, but nope, Violet was not in the family room.  We came back into the bedroom and Missy kept going to a spot between my end table and the bed.  With my DOUBTFUL  mind, I told her that it wasn't in there, there's no way she could have put it in that little area, but she insisted and was trying to get something.  I got down on my hands and knees, reached my hand in that area and I'll be darned...THERE WAS VIOLET.  I just couldn't believe that she knew that dirty little furry worm was in that spot.  I say she may have smelled it there, but I don't know, she's smart.  I tell her that if she was a human, she'd be a genius.  Sorry I didn't believe you Missy.

The Big Kaboom

Phoenix does not get rain very often, nor snow, which makes this the perfect weather condition for me to live in.  Every so often though, we will get a storm.  I do not like these storms because when it thunders, as my mommy calls it, I think it's those fireworks that the people in back of me shoot off.  When I hear that, it hurts my ears and I start barking.  Last night we had a huge thunder storm and thank God for my mommy.  She sits on the couch and I jump up on it, next to her and of course, I bark.  Well, I would get behind her back if she would let me, but since she won't, I pretty much turn in three circles first and then plop in her lap.  She will then put her arms around me and tell me that I'm going to be just fine.  Even when she knows a clap-of-thunder is about to clash, she'll put her hands over my ears, but that doesn't really help.  I know the storms don't last that long here in Phoenix, but even one loud noise is too much for me.  After the thunderstorm was over and done with, the people behind us decided there hadn't been enough noise, so they just had to shoot off one firework.  These, by the way, are the big kind that go up in the air, not the little firecrackers.  I know that I'm just a dog and supposedly do not have the knowledge of a human, but do these idiot people that shoot off the firework, think for one minute that we are going to think it's thunder?  Seriously?  They do it every time we get a thunderstorm, so I've come to the conclusion that not all humans actually have brains.

Dino and Me

I would like to introduce you to my SECOND favorite toy.  Remember, Violet is my favorite and is my bedtime buddy.   My second favorite toy's name is DINO, the green dinosaur.  I may have told this story before, I'm not sure, but my mommy and sister Tracy took me to a pet store and let me pick out my own toy.  They set two toys on the floor and I got to pick.  Well, I picked out the green dinosaur that you can see on the fireplace hearth.  I was picked Dino up and was trying to walk out of the store, but they wouldn't let me.  I think they told me that is called stealing and that's not a good thing...bad, bad, bad.

When my mommy tells me to get my dinosaur, I run to my toy basket and pick him out.   I know the name of all my toys...Violet, Mr. Bumble Bee and Dino.  Now that I know how to play with toys, I will get Dino in my mouth and run, shaking my head back and forth.  Dino never gets mad at me and never says anything until lately.  When my mommy or sister holds Dino and then throws him, he/she will squeak, but it never has before when I pick him/her up until the other day.  My mommy threw Dino, I ran after him and all of a sudden I heard this loud squeak.  The squeak did not stay the same sound, it was loud, but then went fainter...it's hard to explain, but is a funny noise.  Anyway, it scared the crud out of me so I dropped him/her on the ground and smacked it with my foot and again, he/she made the same squeaking noise.  I looked up at my mommy and moved back.  The nice little green dinosaur who never said a word, suddenly is talking to me. It's as if he got tired of not talking to me.  I'm not sure what he is saying, but I've decided it is fun now to make Dino talk.  I just love my toys.

Just call me Sherlock

I know I woke my mommy up this morning by chewing on my toy, Violet, and literally squeaking it every second for about three minutes.  I get thrilled to death hearing the sound of that cute little worm.  I finally decided to leave her alone and took Violet out into the family room.  I knew her alarm clock was about to go off and I was right, at 7:00, her alarm clock went off.  She gets up and does everything she needs to do to get ready for the day.  I was laying on her bed waiting for my daddy to get finished with his shower, so I could take him for a walk and my mommy told me to get off the bed, so she could make it.  Like a dutiful little girl, I jumped off the bed, but decided to get my toy and see if she would like to play a little bit before the walk.  I became frantic because I couldn't find my toy.  I have two blankets in my bed and I was sticking my nose between those to see if I could find my toy, but it was nowhere in my bed.  I knew my mommy had been watching me all this time, but all of a sudden I hear her raise her voice and say "Holy Shit Sherlock, you are actually using your nose to lift and look UNDER your bed for your toy?"  Then she said, "Missy, you are the smartest little girl I have ever known".  Instinct baby, instinct is all I can say.  My mommy apologized for saying that "s" word, but I told her I know she was in such amazement, that I'd let it go this one time.  I didn't find my toy in the bedroom, but when we went into the family room, there it was.  Thank the Lord.  I don't know what I would do without Violet.

R E S P E C T

Not only did my sister and her roommate/best friend Lisa sing this song in a silly college video, but my mommy tells me I have more respect than a lot of people that she knows.  My mommy tells me that I am so respectful and for a dog, that is really something.  Let's check this out.  The definition of "respect" from my mommy's grade school dictionary is as follows :  1. honor; esteem (check), 2. care, consideration (check).  There are more definitions, but these two have more to do with the reason she told me I was respectful.  I know when my mommy is still asleep.  Well, she might be awake, but it looks like she's sleeping.  I used to tear into the bed
